BRANDON L. PEAK is an experienced attorney who handles cases across a wide array of practice areas. A partner at Butler, Wooten & Fryhofer, LLP, Brandon has successfully litigated wrongful death, product liability, personal injury, professional negligence, trucking and class action cases in state and federal courts throughout the nation. Brandon was an integral member of a team that recently resolved a group of consumer class action cases versus credit insurance companies for cash settlements exceeding $225 million. Brandon is dedicated to helping his clients in their time of need and has been involved in numerous trucking and wrongful death cases with collected recoveries exceeding $1 million.
Brandon was born and raised in Gastonia, NC. After graduating from the public schools in his community, Brandon went on to The Citadel in Charleston, SC, where he graduated summa cum laude and first in the School of Business while serving as a Battalion Commander and member of the Honor Court. Brandon then attended the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University on a full scholarship, graduating magna cum laude and first in his class. While at Mercer, Brandon was elected by his peers as Chief Justice of the Honor Council and Articles Editor of the Mercer Law Review. He received the Walker P. Johnson, Jr. award for ethics and professionalism, as well as numerous other scholastic honors, including the Faculty Awards for Most Outstanding Senior and Outstanding Legal Writing. Brandon was also active in the Moot Court Program and was a member of Mercer’s Intrastate Moot Court team.
Following law school, Brandon clerked for the Honorable Robert L. Vining, Jr., a Senior Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and then practiced at Troutman Sanders, LLP, an international law firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. Brandon remains an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, Columbus Bar Association, and Georgia Trial Lawyer’s Association and has served as President of the Chattahoochee Bar Association and Columbus Trial Lawyer’s Association. He and his wife Brooke live in Columbus, Georgia with their children and are active members of their church and community.
