MARY K. WEEKS is an associate at Butler, Wooten & Fryhofer, LLP whose practice areas include wrongful death, auto and trucking, personal injury, and class action litigation. 

Mary grew up in Poquoson, Virginia but attended the University of Kentucky on academic and athletic scholarships.  As a member of the University of Kentucky’s rifle team, Mary was an eight-time All-American and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in communications.  Mary continued her competitive rifle shooting after college as an enlisted soldier in the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit at Fort Benning, Georgia before deciding to attend law school at Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law.  While at Mercer, Mary served as a Managing Editor of the Mercer Law Review and as a member of the Gibbons Criminal Procedure and National Moot Court teams.  Mary graduated from law school magna cum laude and received the Walker P. Johnson, Jr. award for ethics and professionalism, among other scholastic honors. 

Following law school, Mary clerked for United States District Court Judge Clay D. Land and United States Magistrate Court Judge G. Mallon Faircloth.  Mary is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Columbus Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and Columbus Inn of Court.  Mary has also served as an officer in the Columbus Trial Lawyers Association and the Columbus chapter of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers, and she enjoys volunteering with organizations that provide support to soldiers and their families.  Mary and her husband Mark live in Valley, Alabama.
