6/5/13 Chrysler has refused The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's ("NHTSA's") request to recall the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty, following NHTSA's investigation and conclusion that those vehicle models "contain defects related to motor vehicle safety." NHTSA further concluded the rear-mounted gas tanks, which are between the rear bumper and rear axle, are too vulnerable to being punctured, leaking, and catching fire in foreseeable rear-end collisions. One of the case studies cited in the NHTSA report is a case BWF is currently handling in Decatur County, Georgia. BWF is at the forefront of handling these cases and our lawyers are happy to speak with any person or lawyer who may have a similar case.
