Learn more6/5/13 Chrysler has refused The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's ("NHTSA's") request to recall the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty, following NHTSA's investigation and conclusion that those vehicle models "contain defects related to motor vehicle safety." NHTSA further concluded the rear-mounted gas tanks, which are between the rear bumper and rear axle, are too vulnerable to being punctured, leaking, and catching fire in foreseeable rear-end collisions. One of the case studies cited in the NHTSA report is a case BWF is currently handling in Decatur County, Georgia.
